Meet Thom

Raised in the heart of the South Tyrolean Dolomites, a region renowned for its exceptional tonewoods and part of Italy’s rich craftsmanship traditions I developed an early bond with wood and craftsmanship.

My journey began as a carpenter, where I learned to respect the material and its unique character. Music, a constant presence in my life, guided me toward a deeper calling. At the prestigious Mittenwald School of Musical Instrument Making , I got trained in the art of guitar making. I was able to hon my skills and refine my understanding of the delicate balance between form, function, and sound.

Having grown up near the Latemar forest—renowned for its exceptional sound spruce—I have a unique connection to one of the world’s finest tonewoods. This access and my lifelong dedication to craftsmanship shape every instrument I create.

Building guitars is my way of honoring the material and the tradition, while quietly supporting the music that moves us.

As one of the founders of Thomas-Guitars, we built a brand over the course of 15 years that became known for its exceptional sound and quality, always committed to pushing the boundaries of craftsmanship.

With Thom Orgler Guitars, I want to focus on a new product line that incorporates all my knowledge and focuses on combining tradition, nature, and precision to craft instruments that resonate not only in sound but in spirit. Each guitar reflects a subtle balance of heritage and innovation, designed for musicians who seek both excellence and authenticity.
